Voice-based payments for gas cylinder booking

LPG Gas | Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a central government oil company, has taken a positive decision for its customers. The Internet on Thursday launched a voice-based digital payment facility for LPG gas users without internet or smartphone. BPCL has partnered with Ultra Cash Technologies Pvt Ltd for this. Bharath Gas Consumers who do not have a smartphone or internet can book an LPG cylinder and make payments through UPI 123 Pay.

Bharath Gas O said in a statement that the facility will benefit four crore customers in rural areas across the country. BPCL was the first company to launch a voice-based digital payments facility. It is learned that RBI last week made available the UPI 123P system for digital payments offline as well. Ultra Cash Technologies is developing a mobile app for this facility with the approval of the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI).

Bharath Gas will be booked for those who call 080-4516-3554 from the feature phone. Easy steps to secure bill payments are also available. BPCL said the availability of digital payment systems on feature phones will boost confidence among the villagers.
