Tata Motors | According to sources close to Tata Motors, the talks to take over the Gala Ford India plant in Sanand, Gujarat is positive. It is learned that on September 9 last year, Ford India announced its withdrawal from the Indian automobile market. In this context, it is one of the two production units of Ford Cars in India. Apart from this, Angie Motors and Ola Motors, headed by Bhavish Agarwal, are also competing for the Ford plant in Sanand.
Representatives of Tata Motors and Ford India held discussions with Gujarat government officials. Sanand plant .. Tata Nexan is known to be compatible with Tata Altroz manufacturing. In India, Tata Motors manufactures 85 percent of its own plants nationwide. Tata Motors has set a target of producing six lakh cars in India by the next financial year. If Tata Motors takes over the Sanand plant, it is expected to help achieve the product target.
Tata Motors currently ranks third in the domestic automobile market. Hyundai Motors India is vying for the second position in the highly competitive Indian automobile market. On the other hand, Ford India is also looking at the option of making electric cars in India and selling them overseas. However, neither Tata Motors nor Ford India has commented on the Sanand plant takeover.
