The first three days are holidays

April 1 is the first day of the financial year. Banks do not work on the same day as the old financial year accounts expire. Banks will be closed in Belapur, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji and Srinagar. Although the second day is the first Saturday, the Telugu New Year is celebrated in two Telugu states, Gudi Padwa in Maharashtra and Ugadi in Karnataka, so the second day is also a bank holiday. The third day is Sunday weekend off.

Holidays on 14,15 are as follows

Bank holiday on April 14, 15. On the 14th, banks will not be operating in areas where Indian Constitution maker BR Ambedkar Jayanti, Mahavir Jayanti, Tamil New Year, Chirawaba, Biju Festival and Bohag Bihu festivals will be held in various places. On the 15th, along with Good Friday, the banks are on holiday on the occasion of the Bengal New Year and Himachal Pradesh Day. Sunday the 17th is a holiday. Banks will not be operating on the second Saturday of the ninth day and the weekend of the 10th Sunday. Bank holiday on the occasion of the fourth Saturday on the 23rd and Sunday the 24th.

RBI Holiday Calendar for all banks

Of these, except on the second/fourth Saturdays and Sundays, banks do not operate in some parts of the country except on other holidays. Holidays are applicable to all public, private, foreign, cooperative, and regional banks as per the RBI calendar. The RBI classifies bank holidays as state-wise festivals, regional holidays, and national festivals.
